Rho Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta at Iowa State University is continually striving towards academic excellence. Because of our strong focus on education, there are many programs available to aid our members. Just a few of these resources include: test files, a course list so you can find members who have taken your course in previous semesters, assistance in finding a tutor on campus, and study groups with other members in your classes. Alpha Gamma Delta is also able to encourage its members to stay more focused on their studies with a positive point system. Ideas such as "Yays for A's" and "Yippee Skippee" help our members to try hard on tests and papers to get A's and B's, and to attend class as much as possible. Each member must maintain the chapter's scholarship requirements to remain in good standing. Alpha Gamma Delta requires a 2.3 GPA of its members.
During the Fall 2010 academic term Rho Chapter earned an average GPA of 3.22 placing third among 15 other sororities! The scholastic progress at Alpha Gamma Delta is overseen by the Vice President of Scholarship. Throughout the year, the Vice President of Scholarship develops a program of scholastic improvement and achievement, by assessing the needs of the chapter. Each member and new member is expected to uphold the high academic standards of the chapter. |
